All competing teams were presented with "speeding tickets" (actually certificates) showing their highest recorded speed using the Ontario Provincial Police radar unit. The highest speed recorded for the day was 56 km/h by Arnprior District High School.
Only the completed laps are shown in the standings below. Any partial lap in progress at the time the heat ended is not shown in these results. The relative positions on the track were used to determine placing in the event there was a tie for the number of completed laps. The track is a 3/8 mile oval, which is the equivalent of 0.6 km.

Although not eligible to participate, the two vehicles from St. Francis Xavier High School of Hammond ON stayed for most of the event and showed their vehicles on the track between heats. The miniature replica of the Mack truck (colour - 58k) was a particular crowd pleaser, and led the vehicles for the second heat onto the track.
